The 17-year-old NASCAR Next driver from Stratford, Wisconsin, Derek Kraus and the Bill McAnally Race team made their 2019 truck series debut in the, Alpha Energy Solutions 250 at, Martinsville Speedway in the No. 19 ENEOS Motor Oil/NAPA Filters Toyota Tundra on March 23rd. Derek will also race at Dover International Speedway on May 3, Las Vegas Motor Speedway on September 13 and ISM Raceway, in Arizona on Nov. 8 in the No. 19.

ENEOS joined BMR at the beginning of the year as a primary sponsor on the team’s Tundra – along with NAPA AUTO PARTS, NAPA Filters, inwhich McAnally has had a long running realatonship.

Looking at their k&N Pro Series runs on the West Coast, Kraus has proven to be a worthy driver of the infoumous NAPA #16 out of the BMR Stable. In 1999 Sean Woodside drove Bill's ride to the Championship contention and took he title. caught up with Derek and asked, "You do realize this is a special year for this NAPA #16.." Derek stood in wonder... "Let's go back to 1999..." Derek's response, "I wasn't even born yet!" Not sure who felt the age gap, the kid driving the 16 or the old man who said never the less, "But let's celabrate that 20th anniversary and get the title for NAPA and BMR, No Pressure!" Kraus emerged victorious in the New Smyrna 175 at New Smyrna Speedway, using tire conservation en route to his second career NASCAR K&N Pro Series East victory.

Kraus made an awesome showing in quaifying at, Martinsville, where he landed 11th on the starting grid.  After a long battle of 250 laps, Derek pulled off a top 20 finish crossing the line 18th.

More to come from this team and young driver, “I look forward to competing in these events and getting more experience in the truck series this season,” Kraus said. “I appreciate the opportunity Bill McAnally is providing me and it’s great to have ENEOS come on board as a sponsor with BMR.”
